Background: The Scientific and Technical Committee (STC) includes specialists in oil spill containment and cleanup technology, Arctic and sub-Arctic marine ecology and the living resources and socio-economics of Prince William Sound and its adjacent waters. The STC meets twice each year to provide advice to the OSRI Advisory Board through the OSRI Director. Further details on the STC's role and operations are found in the STC Charter.
